(1) A person who has gone through a Designated Equipment Inspection shall mark the items when a Designated Equipment Inspection Certificate is issued to the person. Marking shall be made by stamping the following items in their order clearly and indelibly at a visible point on a thick part of the Designated Equipment or by welding, soldering, or brazing to the Designated Equipment a plate on which those items are inscribed in such a way of stamping or casting. In that case, the items to be marked should be as follows:
(a) the name of the manufacturer of the Designated Equipment or its symbol or mark; (b) the name of the inspection body or its symbol or mark; (c) the number and the issue date of the Designated Equipment Inspection Certificate; (d) the class of the Designated Equipment (“S1” in the case of Class 1 Designated Equipment or “S2” in the case of Class 2 Designated Equipment); (e) the design pressure (sign: P; unit: MPa); (f) the design temperature (sign: T; unit: degrees) in the case of Class 1 Designated Equipment; (g) the highest design temperature (sign: TH; unit: degrees) and the lowest design metal temperature (sign: TL; unit: degrees) in the case of Class 2 Designated Equipment; (h) the properties of a high pressure gas to be produced (“燃” in the case of an flammable gas and “毒” in the case of a toxic gas); (i) the internal volume (sign: V; unit: m3); and (j) the design seismic motion of the equipment subject to aseismatic design (“L1” in the case of Level 1 seismic motion and “L2” in the case of Level 2 seismic motion), followed by the horizontal seismic intensity of aseismatic design (sign: KSH or KMH) or horizontal acceleration of aseismatic design (sign: AH; unit: cm/sec2).
(2) Similarly, a Registered Manufacturer of Designated Equipment or Registered Foreign Manufacturer of Designed Equipment shall mark the following items upon issuance of a designated equipment standards conformity certificate:
(a) the name of the Registered Manufacturer of Designated Equipment or Registered Foreign Manufacturer of Designed Equipment or its symbol or mark; (b) the name of the body that has issued the Designated Equipment Standards Conformity Certificate or its symbol or mark; (c) the number and the issue date of the Designated Equipment Standards Conformity certificate; and The items set forth in (d) through (j) of paragraph (1) above should be marked regarding (d) through (j).
